Eleven Universe

In this course on creating game models, we’ll initially reflect on the importance of knowing your squad before implementing any style of play. We’ll provide you with several templates and guides so you can understand the type of player you have, what the right playing system is for your team, and ultimately, have the necessary foundation to decide which model or philosophy best represents you and your club.

Of course, we’ll also analyze trends in tactical aspects of new football, its ways of working (always within the context of the real game), and explain the main technical and tactical characteristics of the three main styles of play: combinative, mixed, and direct.

We’ll then delve into the game models: their conceptual framework, exemplifying what is intended to be achieved with a game idea; the behaviors to consider in each of the philosophies of modern football; and the guide to ensuring that the entire training process is consistent with what we aim for in our ideal style of play.

We’ll provide examples of how to construct them and how to create exercises based on real-life match situations, always focusing on improving the player’s decision-making, which is essential regardless of your game model.

Finally, we’ll describe the periodization and planning methodology used by our instructors (Javi Eraso, Fran Velillas, and Albert Pérez) in the professional field, which results from the intersection of theoretical knowledge of the game’s rules and patterns, empirical knowledge, and their experience on the field.

This is a truly practical course, in which we aim to give you the recipes and tools you need to work on your own, building and implementing the game idea that best suits your team.
